A trip down the road

Lambs, Kids, and Calves

AKA Work as a Ranch Hand

Have you ever been on a weekend drive and found some place that is really unique, fun; some place you want to keep a secret?

Spring calves are here… or at least nearby!

Lambs Tales Farm raises flocks of sheep & goats and just down the road a neighbor is raising cows. Even with a pandemic swirling around us, nature keeps to it’s rhythms and spring calves have made their arrival.

We spent a busy May day lending a hand with calving. Calves arrive with wobbly legs, the softest curly hair, large eyes and a sense of curiosity! They also have very protective mothers that don’t want too many visitors nearby. :)

If you’re looking for calves or cows, reach out to us and we’ll put you in touch with our neighbors.

Explore your local nature view from home

Spring is coming to Oregon

Have you ever been on a weekend drive and found some place that is really unique, fun; some place you want to keep a secret?

While many Springtime events are being cancelled, your view is still available! Take a slow look out each of your home’s windows and see what nature looks like around you.

  • Do you have any cheery dandelions blooming around your driveway or lawn?

  • How about ornamental pear trees? They will soon be covered in white blossoms.

  • Flowerbeds will have crocus, daffodils, or iris coming along. Blooms may come later, but the greenery should be pushing up through the soil.

As we all wait out this difficult time, take a few sips of your coffee and look for the subtle daily changes as Spring begins to show it’s face around your home.
