Summer BBQ

Kebabs on the Grill

Have you ever been on a weekend drive and found some place that is really unique, fun; some place you want to share?

A snazzy BBQ

When it’s hot outside, we like to put our feet up and BBQ!

The vibrant colors of the peppers & onions and the mouthwatering smells made for a delicious dinner.

Don’t forget that we eat with our eyes. Adding a bright color or a textural contrast will make your dinner taste even better! Serving kababs over saffron rice is a treat.

An ancient flavor, saffron has been used for millennia for flavoring and color in foods. Adding a few strands of saffron to your cooking water for rice, risotto, paella, or bouillabaisse will give your dish a strong yellow-orange hue.

The flavor is very distinct and complex! Descriptions of “metallic honey” or “grassy honey” show the difficulty in describing it. It blends sweet & floral notes with savory & earthy. If you want to try some traditional Persian foods, saffron is a must have in your spice cupboard!

What’s this beautiful salad missing? Bread & Bacon!

Inspired by a YouTube video, We enjoyed a delicious bacon, lettuce, and tomato sandwich for dinner with just the right amount of mayo.
Or take it upscale by making a rosemary & butter spread instead of using mayo.

Field raised veggies aren’t ready yet, but if you are lucky enough to find a local hydroponic farmer, definitely try their produce. It’s super clean and is fresh & local all year long!
