Allison Hotel

The Allison Inn and Spa is a new favorite.

Have you ever been on a weekend drive and found some place that is really unique, fun; some place you want to keep a secret?

See this form in the original post

We spent a night there for my wife’s birthday. It has a lot to offer and it’s close for us.  The best part, or I should say one of the attractions is that they welcomed our dog, Winner.

Allison Inn and Spa, was a close drive and a welcomed respite.  We hit it on our first hot weekend, and I have to say I pretty well bunked out in a really nice room with AC indoor pluming, and people who bring me nice things.  All kidding aside I was bushed and this was a sanctuary for a guy who has been working too much.

Hey let’s not forget this was my wife’s birthday.  Beautiful place, gardens,  spas, places to walk and see.  They have their own vineyard and a large organic garden that was to surprise us for dinner.  This place is a bit more upper crust than we are used to, so people watching is fun.  A glimpse into how the wanna be’s and real 1% live.

I am a skeptic when it comes to ANY restaurant and I wasn’t about to be impressed by anything other than the food.

They served the most incredible steak I have ever eaten.  New York, Iowa, San Francisco, Europe, Australia, the chef blew me away with the steak.  Can’t remember what my wife had for her birthday but she loved it.  They also served the most immense Bombay gin martini I have ever seen.  I couldn’t finish the drink.  Hey I digress, this was my wife’s birthday, and they presented us with a really wonderful birthday desert.   All said this place is expensive, but get out the change bowl, save up a bit of cash; scratch that a lot of cash and go.

My wife was happy.

Our wonderful dog Winner was happy (The folks and guests) loved the dog.

I was happy.

You should call for a reservation this place is almost always booked - Enjoy.
